Operation Barracas: Federal Revenue seizes over 2 tones in merchandise

The Secretariat of the Federal Revenue informs that over 2 tones in merchandise were seized as a result of Operation Barracas carried out today (12/03) in order to fight trade and circulation of illegal products in popular malls and shopping centers.

Products include watches, electric/electronic and computer products, in an estimated amount of R$ 967,473.60. The action took place in the cities of Manaus/AM, Recife/PE, Salvador/BA, Belo Horizonte/MG, Piracicaba/SP and Foz do Iguaçu/PR.

The indicted parties will be notified to submit supporting legal entry documentation for the products in the country. Otherwise, the seizure procedures will begin, as well as the relevant fiscal representations for legal purposes.
