The Federal Revenue Office in Foz do Iguaçu registered a raise of 137% toy seizure in August

The seizures of the Federal Revenue Office in Foz do Iguaçu, totalized US$ 6,982,199 in August. This amount, added to what was registered since January, represents a raise of 5% in relation to the first eight months last year.

The most significant amount of seizures in August was vehicles (total of 214), totalizing US$ 2,485,361, a raise of 26% in relation to August 2007. From January to August an amount of US$ 21,405,661 was seized, a raise of 39% compared to the first eight months of 2007. Toy seizure also stands out. US$ 327,880 were retained in August, a raise of 137% in relation to August 2007.

The amount of seizures registered until August 2008, totalizes US$ 54,938,949 in merchandise and vehicles.
