The Federal Revenue of Brazil seized an airplane originated from the USA heading to São Paulo with over one ton of undeclared merchandises including motorcycle and airplane parts and electronic gadgets in the Eduardo Gomes International Airport, in Manaus/AM. The estimated value of the seizure, including the airplane, is around U$ 2.4 million.
The action was carried out last Thursday (09/11), and the merchandise must be confiscated for being undeclared; and so must be the airplane for transporting illegal cargo. The crew (three people altogether) was taken to the Federal Police Office for clarifications.
This is the third airplane seized in the Manaus airports in only three days (09/09 and 11), all of them coming from the USA and going to São Paulo loaded with irregular merchandise.
