Federal Revenue seizes cameras, automobile, marijuana and hashish in Brazil-Paraguay Friendship International Bridge

The Federal Revenue of Brazil seized 49 cameras in an automobile yesterday (12/16), at the Customs Office of the International Bridge of Friendship (between Paraguay and Brazil). Part of the merchandise was hidden in the vehicle’s central console and another part was inside a bag.

The vehicle, estimated in R$ 42,000, and the cameras, estimated in US$ 6,047, were confiscated and sent to the RFB Office in Foz do Iguaçu. A little before, at the same place, the federal police approached a Paraguay-registered van and found PlayStation videogames and accessories in a false bottom. The merchandise was estimated in US$ 1,250.

Last week’s Thursday (12/11) Federal Revenue officers found 3.82 Kg of marijuana and 200 grams of hashish during inspection carried out on Ciudad Del Este–Foz do Iguaçu bus lane. The substances were hidden inside an abandoned blanket on the bus.
