The Delegation of the Tanzanian Revenue Authority visited, from December 5th to 9th, the Federal Revenue of Brazil to exchange information on the experiences of the two agencies on tax area.
"Brazil is constantly updating its tax system, hence the importance of the visit, both for the exchange of experiences and for the strengthening of the political relations between the two countries". The statement was made by the secretary of Carlos Alberto Barreto when, this monday (5), welcoming the members of the Delegation of the Tanzanian Revenue Authority (TRA).
The head of the delegation and Director of the TRA, Mugisha Kamugisha, while thanking, stressed the high degree of efficiency reached by the RFB and the positive expectation created with the coming of the mission, in terms of absorbing this experience.
The Undersecretary of Customs and International Relations, Ernani Argolo Filho, declared that, despite the different stages, the Federal Revenue and the Tanzania Revenue Authority "have common challenges". The delegation was welcomed also by the General-Coordinator of International Relations – Corin, Flávio Araújo.
The Tanzanian Delegation also visited the headquarters of the Management School of the Ministry of Finance – ESAF and the Taxpayer Service Center – CAC of the 1º Fiscal Region.
In addition to the Director Kamugisha, joined the mission the Statistics Manager, Ussi Hussein, the Public Finances Manager, Adolf Ndunguru and the Tanzanian Ambassador, H. E. Francis Malambugi.
