The Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil - RFB participated in the largest IT event in the world. It is the CeBIT 2012 - Center for Office Automation, Information Technology and Telecommunication fair, in Hannover, Germany.
This year, CeBIT elected Brazil as partner country, with the title of Brasilien investiert in die Zukunft, (Brazil invests in the future). The German Chancellor Angela Merkel, accompanied by the Brazilian President Dilma Roussef and some of her Ministers, led the opening of the fair.
Over 80 Brazilian information technology companies were present. The RFB was the Brazilian main exhibitor, with the proposal of getting companies around the world interested in the Brazilian solutions.
The event was also an opportunity for the RFB staff to prospect information technologies, especially those about the main theme of the Cebit 2012, Trust Management.
On Wednesday, march 7 th , the Brazilian solution for administrative fiscal process workflow, the e-Processo (Electronic Administrative Process), was presented by Marcelo de Souza to the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Germany, whose representatives expressed their interest in have a deeper look into the system.
On March 8 th , Carlos Sussumo Oda and Ronald Cesar Thompson presented, at an open lecture, solutions of the SPED ((Public Digital Accounting System) and the Electronic Invoice and the Statement Generator Program for Income Tax, respectively.
